Renovation starts with assessing the building's current condition: the structural system, the age of the plumbing and wiring, moisture and cracks. Renewing only the visible surfaces often just postpones the problem; if the cause is moisture or the structure itself, it keeps growing under the new finish.
For buildings that need strengthening, an intervention design is prepared and the order of work is set around it. Interior design, wet area and plumbing work are planned after the strengthening; work done in the reverse order ends up being paid for twice. The most common issue we see in older buildings in and around Bartın is moisture coming from the roof and facade.
